Shout out to Mr. Pratt for all of his hard work and dedication to make a Geography Bee happen this year. National Geographic discontinued doing the bee after the pandemic and Mr. Pratt came up with the idea to do our own Dedham version and put in numerous (volunteer) hours to bring a 'from scratch' program to life. Throughout the winter months, kids had a blast trying food from various countries, working together on geography challenges and spending time with him and teammates during lunch practices. There were 20+/- students in grades 6, 7 & 8 who participated! The afternoon bee was a huge success. Each participant received a fun, geography themed 'swag bag' and he made sure the winning team had a nice trophy.
