The Middle School Student Council Halloween Dance that was scheduled for tonight has been canceled and will be held next Friday, November 3 from 7:00-9:00pm.
Dear Dedham School families,
We are saddened to hear of the events in Lewiston last night. Our thoughts go out to the victims, their families and first responders.
I am sending this to assure you that Dedham School is a safe place. School safety continues to be a priority. We will remain open today and be operating in a soft lockdown manner. As usual, all exterior doors will remain locked and kids will go about their day inside the building. There will not be outside classes or recess. No visitors will be allowed in the building. If you choose to keep your child home today, absences will be excused, please just call the office and let us know.
Local law enforcement agencies are in contact with us and will update us as necessary. Hancock County Sheriff Scott Kane has already been in the building this morning checking in.
Administrators will be available to students and staff who need extra support today.

The Dedham XC Team travels to Airline today for the Small Schools Championship Meet at 4:15. Boys will race first followed by the girls. Go Demons!
The Dedham Co-ed Soccer team travels to Veazie for a sem-final playoff game today at 3:30. Go Demons!

Friday, October 13.....Grades 5&6 Field Trip. Students will spend the day at Lakewood Pond. Grades 6&7 will spend the day at Sieur de Monts Nature Center.
Today's games vs. All-Saints. Boys will play first at 3:30 *This is a change from the previous schedule
Good luck to our soccer team as they travel to Veazie for a league co-ed game.

Today's soccer match at Greenbush has been postponed because of rain.

The Dedham School Open House will be held on Tuesday, August 29 from 5:30-6:30. We hope all students and parents will be able to come in and meet with teachers and staff to kick off the new school year!
The first day of school for students will be Wednesday, August 30.
