We wish all of our students and families a wonderful four-day holiday weekend!
Our staff will be participating in professional development today ~ Friday, October 10, and school will be closed for the holiday on Monday, October 13.
We look forward to seeing everyone back on Tuesday!

We are wishing the best of luck to our Cross Country runners as they compete in the Small School Championships at the Airline School in Aurora. The race begins at 4:15 pm. Go Demons!

We want to give a huge round of applause to our amazing 5th–7th grade students for their enthusiastic participation and success during our 3-day Middle School Adventure Days! Your energy, teamwork, and positive spirit truly made these days unforgettable.
A special shout-out as well to our incredible 8th graders for completing their 3-day, 2-night adventure at Camp Roosevelt! You tackled every activity and challenge with courage, leadership, and resilience. We are so proud of you!
Thank you all for making these experiences such a success. Way to go, Middle Schoolers!

What a great start of the school year! As our staff and students enter Day 10, we can't help but be excited for an amazing school year. Remember that we have a School Board meeting tonight at 6:00 pm and our first Cross Country meet tomorrow night at 4:15 pm!

We want to extend our sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused by the traffic lights being taken out of commission the day before school started. While this situation was beyond our control, we truly appreciate your patience and cooperation during drop-off and pick-up times.
We are especially grateful for the support of our new School Resource Officer, Deputy Christie Scribner, who has been helping manage traffic on the north end of campus, along with the Hancock County Sheriff's Department for their assistance on the south end.
We’re hopeful that new traffic lights will be installed by the end of the week and will keep you updated on the progress.
Thank you again for your understanding and support.
Sincerely,
Larry Clement, Principal
